This timeframe\u00a0of receptivity\u00a0is known as the window of implantation.\u00a0This \u201cwindow\u201d\u00a0varies\u00a0in timing and duration among women\u00a0and each woman has\u00a0her own unique window.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Embryo transfer in\u00a0an IVF treatment is\u00a0routinely performed following\u00a0administration\u00a0of progesterone supplements\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0standard number of days\u00a0post\u00a0egg collection.\u00a0However to achieve a successful outcome\u00a0the embryo(s) must be transferred during this \u201cwindow of implantation\u201d,\u00a0neither too early nor too late.\u00a0For most women, the\u00a0timing of the implantation window\u00a0is the same, but\u00a0for some women, it can be different\u00a0and this could\u00a0explain why\u00a0some\u00a0women undergoing IVF\u00a0do not\u00a0get pregnant, even\u00a0with transfer of\u00a0good quality embryos.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><strong><span style=\"color: #6b4f7e;\">What is the ERA test?<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The ERA test is a pioneering test that evaluates the endometrial receptivity and gives the opportunity to perform the\u202fembryo transfer in a personalized way by defining the optimal time\u202ffor embryo transfer that is specific for each woman.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The ERA test aims to prevent implantation failure by establishing the ideal day for embryo transfer, thus increasing the chances of a successful outcome.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><strong><span style=\"color: #6b4f7e;\">What the test involves?<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is a simple test that requires only a small endometrial sample, which is obtained with a pipelle. The sample is placed into a collection kit and is sent to the laboratory for analysis. The sample is assessed using the most up to date methods of next generation sequencing to evaluate the expression of 236 genes related to implantation and the results are available within 2-3 weeks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The test needs to be done on a particular day of your cycle and you may be advised\u00a0to take the\u00a0certain\u00a0medication in preparation for the test.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><strong><span style=\"color: #6b4f7e;\">Who could benefit from the test?<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Studies have shown that ERA test helps patients who have experienced implantation failure despite using good quality embryos.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">ERA\u00a0test may be particularly beneficial if you have experienced\u00a0recurrent\u202fimplantation failures, including recurrent miscarriages or repeated unsuccessful IVF treatments\u00a0including\u00a0the transfer of embryos, which through\u00a0genetic testing were found to be normal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ENDOMETRIAL RECEPTIVITY\u00a0TEST\u00a0(ERA) What is the window of implantation?
